last week i made a really special doll for a very special wee boy, Jacob, born at just 24 weeks gestation.
i was told he was 32cm long, so made a doll the exact same length.
and as Jacob grows, i hope it will always be a reminder of how far he has come.

Thank you so much Dee! My kids love their Jacob (Juju) doll! You are wonderful! xxx
ReplyDeleteDee, my heart goes out to this little fella and his family. Your gift is so sweet and thoughtful (and so good for a boy!). As requested, I will be bringing this little man and his family before the throne of Grace tonight. May God strengthen Him and may Jacob grow to realise his potential and purpose. Blessings, Fi xx
ReplyDeleteThat is so precious Dee - and what an amazing idea making it the same length!!!
ReplyDeleteBless the little man. I can well imagine it must've been very special for you to make a doll for little Jacob, and to his length at birth is a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteWill be praying for this little life, that he continues to grow strong day by day. Thanks for sharing this xx
What a beautiful thing to do, Dee.
ReplyDeleteI hope that he keeps gaining weight and growing good and strong and that he'll be carrying around his wee doll in, what feels like, no time at all xx
Oh that breaks my heart. So a beautiful thought to him the same length. I will send all my prayers to little Jacob. A friend had her baby this time last year at the same gestation and she is such a wee treasure and perfectly healthy and happy now xxx
ReplyDeleteAwwwww what a tiny tiny baby - my thoughts are with everyone xxx and how precious is that doll !! !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special, special doll... and even more special wee boy! I'm 25 weeks and cannot imagine the terror of baby wanting to arrive so soon. Thoughts and prayers for wee Jacob xx

ReplyDeleteYou are awesome Dee. May all your prayers be answered and may Jakey WELL outgrow his new doll
ReplyDeleteI know it's been said, but the length idea is genius and wonderful and lovely. Esky and I have been praying by her bedside for this li'l lad and his family - I think so often of them!
ReplyDeleteThat is just precious and such a great way of seeing how very small he was from the beginning. I know he and his family will cherish that doll forever. Will be praying for Jacob and his family as they go through this difficult, character building time.
