this probably breaks all the quilting rules but i'm planning to make a new duvet cover/quilt for Jada (yep, i have one daughter, and her fave colour is BLUE!! ha). it's only going to be 12 blocks so they're pretty huge. i'm hoping it'll work as i've never done patchwork or quilting before.
you could say i'm winging it. yep.
oh and speaking of first-times, i'm on twitter now (except i don't have an iphone so can't be real cool and do the insta-thingie).
and that guy in the pic? he has 'hand, foot & mouth disease'. it's not that lovely~ poor mite.

I freaked out when I was first told that my small person had hand foot and mouth - I thought it was something that farm animals got - I did not realise that it was so common. Hope he feels better soon and that you are enjoying lots of cuddles.

winging it is entirely OK when it comes to quilting, in my experience but I guess it may also matter if you are a perfectionist. The colours look cool. Sending love to your little guy x

My favourite colour was blue too! On my sixth birthday (first day of school), I received a blue school bag, lunchbox and drink bottle. Epic!

Not a big fan of blue but that quilt is gonna be super cute!! I hope that you post finished pics!! Poor guy!! I had a daycare when my son was little and that went around!! The only good thing is that once you get it once you probably won't ever get it again. I ended up catching Fifth's Disease when it went around!! Not too fun!!
