a friday farewell

we said a difficult and unwelcome farewell this morning to a precious lady, who fought hard and long and died much too young.

{a thought: maybe instead of complaining about our wrinkles, we should count them as a grace - to be able to grow old with our families...}

our greatest comfort is that, in fact, she is now more alive than she has ever been.

hold your children close tonight and pray for 3 little babes who are now without their mama, and a husband without his much loved wife.

X

{What if my greatest disappointments
Or the achings of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy?}

  1. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We lost my younger brother last weekend at just 18 and buried him on Wednesday - so sad when people leave us before they live their lives. It is up to us to honour them by living a full life.
