PW2 {dee.i.y} Pimp yer Patcher

i've been wanting to do this for ever, and what better excuse than...PARTY WEEK!

i pretty much adore 'Nina' - my Bernina Record 830 - and wanted to show her how loved she is so i pimped her out last night with some vintage hexagons:

want to have a go?
(don't worry if you don't have a soulful sewing machine like my Nina, you could try pimping your laptop, washing machine, cake mixer, front door...)

here's what you'll need:

* mod podge
*scissors
*paintbrush
* hexagon template
*assorted fabrics (or, if you're a scrapbooker, go ahead and use paper)

cut as many hexagons as you'll need, play around with arrangements until they make you squeal then it's time to get your podge on. podge under, podge over :)

easy! and super cute.

look out for a super-duper exciting giveaway tomorrow!

  17. I have that exact machine. I "heart" it muchly. My mom had a 730 when I was a kid (my sister got it) but found this 830 on a call in radio show... She got it for a steal and gave it to me for my birthday 6 years ago. It might be my favorite gift ever.

    That said, I don't think I could bring myself to permanently put stuff on my beloved. Now, temporary machine tattoos... that would be something. Guess I have commitment issues with her...

    But, I love how yours turned out! So pretty!

    I have on my old cozy pfaff sewingmachine raindrop fabric stickers.
