(disclaimer: this is mega-lame so feel free to hit "mark all as read" on your google reader and move on. really. it's been a crazy week and besides food and mess, this is all i have made.)
i have a son who has taken quite a liking to a spiderman costume we have. he wants to wear it every.single.day!
this is interesting for 2 reasons: 1) he has NO idea who spiderman actually is, (but i guess that's just how effective marketing can be huh?) and 2) it is a full length SYNTHETIC costume and he is a HOT kid (example here). seriously, he sweats on a below-zero night!and so, yesterday, i couldn't bear to see him sweating his way through another day in that costume, so i sold him on the idea of a "summer" spiderman costume...

NO MORE SWEATY ALMOST-3 YEAR OLDS!!!
still not crazy that my son is into spiderman though. groan.

Very cute! I love how kids fixate on clothing items. I have great memories of my little brother being inseparable from a woollen beanie for an entire summer, and a child's construction helmet for an entire winter, much to my mother's dismay! Eventually, I think both hats got 'lost', at which point my little brother turned to nudism to fill the void, so to speak!
ReplyDeletehaha - he's so cute and you are so clever.
ReplyDeleteWe have a tacky spiderman costume (this was two years ago and it's still going! http://www.paisleyjade.com/2008/09/spideys-seamstress.html) that Miss 3 loves to pull out occasionally. Double groan!
I think you did great with this! It's been said many times before but I will say it again, you are very clever.
