i have a son with large, clear brown eyes.
he communicates constantly with his eyes - they are so full of fun.
so....i decided i wanted to see them better....

after reading the emailed instructions from my hairdresser sister i decided youtube might be an easier option ( i am a visual learner after all! where a topless ginga demonstrated - with considerable ease - the Faux Hawk (yes, it has a name people. who knew!)

equally appropriate titles for this post could have been:
what on earth have i done?

*hide when dady gets home (soooo been there!! too many times)
*and no he's way to cute to look like the naughty kids on those shows. He can totally pull it off. SO CUTE!
Our second born had longish blonde hair when he was a toddler and it took us ages to finally get brave and cut it (that and the kids at kindy kept telling him he was a girl) so know your pain :)
You did an ace job...I have always been WAY too chicken to cut my boys hair. We found a great hairdressers that has a special chair for kids and plays DVDs to entertain them whilst they're getting their hair done...that ticked the box for me. Mind you Mr. Never Sit Still hasn't had his first haircut and I can only imagine the fun it's gonna be regardless of who is cutting it!
ReplyDeleteAnd your littlie doesn't look like a naughty kid...just a seriously spunky lil dude..
MNM's is right, hes a total spunky dude! Good job on the hair cut, and you saved a few pennies in the process :)
ReplyDeleteFirstly, let me say hes a total cutie - how could those big brown eyes ever look naughty!
ReplyDeleteMy son has blonde hair and big brown eyes too. He is 3 and has long scruffy hair but I cannot bring myself to give him a little boy cut either! Plus everytime he gets a little trim, a little more of his blondness disappears.
By the way, you did an amazing job!
He's still cute...but the long locks were pretty adorabable - sorry!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is too cute to be that naughty kid and oh my gosh he looks suddenly so much older with that cool dude haircut!
ReplyDeleteIt's a huge change but you did it so WELL!
I think he looks very "cool kid".
Aint nobody gonna pick on him now!
xx
PS laughing out loud here!
HAH topless ginga!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job - I would be bringing my kids round for cuts if you lived closer. heh. Aesop just gets the clippers over his, I oncce gave my boyfriend in highschool a haircut that you would swear involved a bowl (but didn't! promise!) and since then I am too afraid to do more than trim my fringe!
good kids do it at our elementary all the time, looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteso cute!!!!! i'll be looking back on this for advice when its time to do Cam's! perfect job!!!!!
