mama-mia!

i spent the weekend at my parents' place and i wanted to share some of my mother's skills with you all. she is insanely talented and has the ability to put an immaculate finish on everything she does.

for example, her loo:

these two little dresses are made up of teeny tiny little stitches.

this is the only loo in the world that i have any sort of urge to linger in:

she cut out dress pattern pages from old woman's weekly magazines from the 50-60-70s and wallpapered two of the walls.

seriously, there are so many adorable dresses on this wall. i want them all!!

so much tailoring and detail...*sigh*

she also makes a mean quilt....

plus, i saw a funky chica wearing a gorgeous coat at the supermarket today and i know it was handmade. i could feel it. and i was so close to asking her (i'm sure we could've been new best friends)...but chickened out. wuss!
