handmade makes the world smaller

i made this doll at the end of last year - inspired by an adorable little girl our friend's sister and husband in the US had adopted. she was named "Autumn Grace" - the same name as the girl who inspired her creation.
to my utter delight the two Autumns are now together~!

this is what makes me *glee* about Handmade: that doll was sewn and stitched, and painted and crafted over the course of a weekend with my 2 hands in my own living room...and now she's being cuddled by a complete stranger and living all the way over the other side of the world. i LOVE it!!! it's the coolest thing ever.

oh, and this is my 100th post. should i be blowing out candles or something? a milestone of sorts i suppose :)

Yes I love handmade too. The feeling that someone likes/loves your stuff is wonderful.

Going to make some dolls for my little one too, when I get a free moment!
